On Wednesday 22 July 2026, the Grand Ducal Police issued an appeal for witnesses after around 100 pieces of copper cable were found scattered across the road at the Gadderscheier roundabout in Sanem.
The incident was reported to police at approximately 08:40 on Wednesday. According to initial findings, the cables are believed to have fallen from a lorry or van shortly beforehand.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area of the roundabout or who noticed a vehicle that may have been transporting the cables to come forward.
