The Majani Foundation, operated by the King Baudouin Foundation, in February donated €10,000 to Luxembourg non-profit organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss, which provides support and re-integration services to disadvantaged members of society.
The cheque was presented by the vice-president and executive vice-president of the Majani Foundation, André Theisen and Alexandra Oxacelay to Marcel Detaille, the chairman and general manager of Stëmm vun der Strooss.
This money will be used to start financing the salary of a cook engaged for a 20 hour per week contract at a Stëmm vun der Strooss social restaurant. The organisation has one such restaurant in Hollerich, which served more than 70,000 meals last year, and another in Esch which served almost 30,000.
