Deputy Prime Minister Étienne Schneider heard a presentation on the recently adopted resolution on the Rifkin study from members of the Luxembourg Youth Parliament during an exchange yesterday between members of the Youth Parliament and several parliamentary members.
The Youth Parliament is a platform for young people between the ages of 14 and 24 discuss to issues of concern to them, creating a bridge between them and the political world, through the drafting of opinions and resolutions.
During the exchanges, Deputy Prime Minister Schneider commended the work of the Youth Parliament members.
“I congratulate the members of the Jugendparlament for their in-depth analysis and their relevant opinion on the recommendations and proposals that resulted from the Rifkin process. This view is of paramount importance to us because it is precisely today's young people who represent the future generation of 'proscribers' living in a fully interconnected world and economy.”
