Luxembourg police have asked for public assistance in identifying two men suspected of ATM fraud.
In one instance, one of the men is thought to have tricked a woman who was using an ATM in Dudelingen on 24 September last year. According to the report, she had inserted her bank card, entered the PIN code and was then informed the card was blocked. Purporting to assist the woman, a man standing nearby suggested that a bill could be stuck in the card slot. In her attempt to remove any possible blockage, the woman lost a second card to the machine. Assuming they were both locked inside the machine, she didn't inform her bank for some days, at which point she was advised that three ATM withdrawals had been made.
Police said that a similar incident took place at Hesperingen.
Anyone with information regarding the person being photographed should notify police in Dudelingen on 2446-2200.
