Two trains collided in Luxembourg this moring injuring at least six people, two of them seriously.
The two trains, one a freight train from France and the other a passenger train travelling from Luxembourg to France, crashed on the interchange between Bettembourg and Zoufftgen train stations just before 09:00.
According to police reports, two seriously injured people were still trapped in the train at 10:45. The full number of injured is not yet known.
A canine rescue team has been deployed and medical post established.
CR 161 has been closed to traffic, while the CFL has set up replacement bus transports.
The cause of the collision is not yet known, and investigations have been initiated at the request of the public prosecutor's office.
