Lux Writers Who Talk and the Green Heart Toastmasters Club have announced that they will be organising an English-language literary evening dedicated to short stories and poetry for Halloween on Friday 1 November 2019 at the Théâtre du Centaure in Luxembourg-ville, from 19:30 to 21:00.

As anyone who has ever lost a loved one knows, life is a game of tag with death. No one can outrun its icy grip forever and we all lose someone sooner or later. From the dark well of loss, the writer draws their pail filled with pain and confusion but also humour and strength. In this inaugural Halloween literary evening, seven writers share their pails, with tales that approach death from left-field.

The event, entitled "Tales from Beyond. Modern Ghost Stories", will bring together literature lovers to hear short stories and poetry, read by the authors themselves, which may challenge their ideas of death or simply send a shiver down their spine.

Featured writers:

  • Prince Motiani - Tell me a story
  • Oana Marangoci - The Fox
  • Jess Bauldry - Where did you last seen your husband?
  • James Leader - Twin beds
  • Jacques Molitor - Daniel
  • Zoe Perrenoud - Carlton's Curios and Other Companions
  • Daniela Badea - Ghosts and snails

The event costs €10.75 if purchased in advance online or €13 at the door (cash only). In both cases, online reservation is mandatory. To book tickets, visit https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/tales-from-beyond-tickets-74258530263.
