
On Thursday 4 July 2025, Rugby Club Luxembourg (RCL) announced the election of Giulia Iannucci as its new President, effective Wednesday 2 July 2025.
The RCL noted that this decision marks a pivotal moment for the club, with Ms Iannucci becoming the first woman to lead RCL in its history. The RCL said the appointment “underscored the sport's enduring commitment to diversity and inclusion”.
The RCL also reported that Tony Whiteman and Craig Griffiths have been elected as Vice Presidents, with Chris Gill taking on the role of Secretary. Ian Dennis has been appointed as Treasurer and Alessandro La Rosa as Deputy Treasurer.
RCL said: “This strong new leadership team is set to guide the club into its next exciting chapter. Ms Iannucci's election at RCL is a testament to the club's progressive vision and its dedication to fostering an environment where talent and passion are paramount, regardless of gender.”
