On Monday 29 January 2024, Labgroup, a company specialising in the archiving of paper and electronic documents as well as in data protection, announced the launch of its new archive dust removal service, reportedly a first in Luxembourg.

This initiative highlights Labgroup's continued commitment to offering complementary and innovative solutions to meet growing market needs.

Labgroup noted that its archive dust removal service is designed to meet the strict requirements of preservation and long-term conservation of historical and administrative documents. This is a document drying service in a quarantine zone where the temperature and humidity are strictly controlled. This is followed by a meticulous dust removal service by vacuuming, page by page, according to a strict process: inventory, preparation, dry cleaning and repackaging in flap folders and new boxes.

Labgroup added that its service uses gentle dust collection technologies, guaranteeing the processing and integrity of documents while eliminating dust and harmful particles. Documents benefit from end-to-end traceability and secure processing within premises dedicated to this activity. Each project is treated in a personalised manner, with particular attention paid to the specific needs of each client. Labgroup concluded that it is committed to environmentally responsible practices throughout the dust collection process.

Yannick Pissel, Pre-Sales, Product and Project Manager at Labgroup stated: “Documents stored in premises such as basements are directly exposed to humidity, which can lead to the proliferation of mould and jeopardise their conservation. The objective of this new service is to stop this destructive process and to enable the long-term conservation of documents which were previously in danger.”
