The Luxembourg undertakings for collective investment (UCI) industry recorded a positive change amounting to €17.719 billion in the month of August 2019.

As of 31 August 2019, the aggregate net assets of global UCIs amounted to €4.502.493 billion as opposed to €4.484.774 billion on 31 July 2019, representing an increase of 0.4% over one month. Over the last twelve months, the volume of net assets increased by 5.39%.

For its part, the Luxembourg UCI industry industry similarly posted a positive change in the month of August, amounting to €17.719 billion. This increase represents the balance of positive net issues up to €28.616 billion (+0.64%) and the unfavourable financial market developments of €10.897 billion (-0.24%). 

The number of UCIs taken into consideration was 3,824 (compared to 3,829 in July). 2,499 entities have adopted an umbrella structure representing 13,497 compartments. Adding 1,325 entities with a traditional structure, a total of 14,822 units are active in the financial centre.
