As of 1 June 2015, the rating agency Moody's has affirmed the "AAA" rating of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with "stable" outlook; Luxembourg continues to benefit from the highest rating of the three major credit agencies S&P, Moody's and Fitch.

Moody's has confirmed favourable economic trends in Luxembourg. In particular, the analysis highlights the open and innovative character of the Luxembourg economy, the positive effects of "Zukunftspak" and the proper supervision of the financial sector. Regarding potential risks, Moody's cites in particular a long-term financing of the pension system and the relatively high weight of the financial sector in Luxembourg's economy.

Pierre Gramegna, Luxembourg's Minister of Finance, commented 'This new confirmation of our AAA is in a straight line with the return of Luxembourg in the list of most competitive nations by IMD and the continued decline in unemployment since the end of last year. This shows that the government's policy to diversify our economy and our financial centre and to consolidate our public finances while maintaining a high level of investment is paying off.'
