The National Museum of Natural History Luxembourg (MNHNL) has announced that this year’s Naturmusée-Fest will take place at its premises in Luxembourg-Grund on Sunday 13 September 2026 from 11:00 to 18:00.
The free event will focus on nature, biodiversity and sustainability, with activities taking place both inside and around the museum. Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover areas normally closed to the public through guided tours of the museum's laboratories and collections.
The programme will feature more than 25 activity and information stands presenting biodiversity and projects carried out by the museum. Besides that, open to visitors of all ages will also be experimental workshops, educational games and discovery tours aimed at raising awareness of nature and biodiversity.
As last year, the MNHNL will offer mini boat trips on the Alzette, providing visitors with a different perspective of the museum and its surroundings. Food and drinks will also be available throughout the event.
Naturmusée-Fest is being organised in partnership with the Panda Club, Science Club, Frënn vum Naturmusée, natur&ëmwelt, the Nature and Forest Agency, SICONA, Youth4planet, the City of Luxembourg (VdL), Naturpark Our and Amateur Astronomen Lëtzebuerg.
