In collaboration with the Theater Federatioun, the Ministry of Culture has launched a call for applications for two grants to performing artists in theatre or music who would like to participate in a laboratory of artistic creation in the Ottawa-Gatineau region of Canada over two weeks in September.
The International Francophone Theater Commission (CITF) and the National Arts Center of Canada have joined forces to organise the project nursery as part of the seventh edition of the international meetings for the Theatrical Zones.
Eighteen francophone artists will be selected by the various CITF members to participate in creative laboratories, meet with the public at the end of the workshops, participate in exchanges and opportunities for transmission, both in formal and informal settings with artists and professionals from other countries, and attend the various activities of the Theatrical Zones 2017.
The theme of the creation lab is "the noise of capitals", capitals as places of power, encounters, confrontations, diversity, diversity, aspirations and disappointments. The main objective is to encourage meetings between Francophone artists from different backgrounds leading to the identification of potential partners for multilateral collaboration and co-production projects.
