SkyCom Telematics Systems has deployed its mission of ensuring a social responsibility policy by regularly supporting associations working in the humanitarian field with end-of-year donations.

At a reception at the SkyCom headquarters in Niederdonven, Claude Lenert, founder and managing director of the technology company specialising in professional geolocation systems and intelligent solutions to increase business productivity, presented a cheque for €2,500 to the protransplant.lu organisation, represented by its president Jos Bourg, Marc Majerus, member of the board of directors, and Florence Boever, volunteer.

The "protransplant.lu" association, made up of transplanted or affected persons, concerned family members and sympathisers, pursues four objectives, namely the promotion of organ donation, the offer of mutual assistance to transplant recipients re organ donation, support and accompaniment for their families, and the creation of links with private individuals and other national or international associations in pursuit of the same goals.

On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day on 17 October 2016, protransplant.lu launched an extensive campaign by distributing information brochures to all households in Luxembourg to raise awareness of the severe shortage of organ donors in Luxembourg. By 2015, Luxembourg had only three organ donors and thus ranked last in the list of Eurotransplant member countries
