Perrard presentation to Stemm vun der Strooss;

As part of its corporate social responsibility policy, Perrard - one of the oldest construction companies in Luxembourg - has handed over a cheque for €10,000 to Stëmm vun der Strooss, which has been helping people in need since 1996 and is committed to the social and professional integration of disadvantaged people.

Founded in 1900, Perrard was - and still is - an essential player that has shaped the daily living environment of the inhabitants of the Grand Duchy and beyond.

The three Stëmm restaurants in Hollerich, Ettelbruck and Esch-sur-Alzette serve 750 meals a day. Last year, a total of 198,127 meals were served there, an increase of 24% compared to 2022. In 2023, a total of 365 people found work again as a result of its vocational reintegration workshops.

Marcel Detaille, the association's chairman, emphasised: "In the face of exploding poverty, we will be able to continue our work on the ground thanks to your generous support". After a visit to the Caddy and Schweessdrëps workshops in the industrial zone around Woeller 5 in Sassenheim, representatives of the Perrard construction company had lunch in the association's canteen with some of its board and management representatives.

Alexandra Oxacelay, Stëmm vun der Strooss director, took the opportunity to emphasise: "The increase in demand over the last ten years is unprecedented, as it has risen by 190%". Alain Pütz, Managing Director and CEO, and Olivier Meyer, Director of Construction, enquired about the causes of this increase and solutions to combat poverty and unemployment.
