On Tuesday 21 December 2021, representatives of the orthodontic practice Becker et Associés visited the headquarters of Stëmm vun der Strooss ("voice of the street"), a Luxembourg non-profit organisation which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of society, in Luxembourg-Hollerich.

During this visit, Becker et Associés donated food and hygiene items to the non-profit. This donation was the result of a collection lasting several weeks, during which every doctor, staff member and patient at the practice made a contribution to reach the final result. Donated items included toothbrushes, deodorant, soap and shampoo, as well as non-perishable food items such as rice, pasta and canned goods.

Jean-Philippe Beckers, who launched the initiative, explained: "Every year, the Becker & Associés practice commits to implementing two targets of the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at the local level. For 2021, we had chosen the Zero Hunger goal and the Quality Education goal. After a collection drive in 2020 for the 'Stëmm' organised by the Table Ronde Luxembourgeoise, in which I am very involved, I had the idea to repeat this collection drive, involving our patients, our staff and our practitioners in all the practices of the Group. To our great surprise, we filled our box for the 'Stëmm' every day in the practice at Hôpital Kirchberg, where the hospital's nursing staff had heard about the campaign. Since I do not know who they are, I would like to thank them in this way as well".

Mr Beckers and Bob Ritz, Communications Officer of Stëmm vun der Strooss, exchanged ideas on how they can repeat such an action in the future.
