On Monday 14 July 2025, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) held a reception to honour municipal staff members who delivered top performances in the eghteenth edition of the ING Night Marathon Luxembourg, while also highlighting charitable donations made in support of Médecins Sans Frontières Luxembourg and Special Olympics Luxembourg.

On this occasion, employees who completed the full marathon distance, as well as those with the fastest male and female times in the half-marathon and team run events, were honoured.

According to VdL, a total of 121 municipal employees participated in this year’s event, with thirteen runners (three women and ten men) completing the full marathon, 88 (26 women and 62 men) taking part in the half-marathon, and five mixed teams, each comprising ten women and ten men, competing in the team run.

As in previous years, the City of Luxembourg marked its participation with a gesture of solidarity: municipal employees collectively donated €1,350 to Médecins Sans Frontières Luxembourg’s “I run for MSF Surgery” project, while the inclusive “Roll & Run” event raised an additional €480 for Special Olympics Luxembourg.
