On Wednesday 26 March 2025, the second-leg quarter-final matches of the Men’s Enovos League took place, determining the full lineup of teams set to compete for the Luxembourg basketball championship title.
Basket Esch was the only team that had lost its first home game and needed a comeback to stay in contention. Following their 69-88 defeat to Arantia Larochette in the first leg, Franck Meriguet’s side started strong in the return match, winning the first two quarters and leading 43-37 at halftime. Guard Quinten Gregory Dee Nelson contributed 15 points in the first half. However, a disastrous third quarter, in which Arantia outscored them by 18 points, turned the game around, leaving the visitors unable to recover. Arantia Larochette secured a 93-73 victory and, with it, a place in the semi-finals. Forward Kiandre Gaddy was the top scorer for the hosts, recording 35 points and 10 rebounds, while teammate guard Scott Christopher Lindsey also posted a double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds.
Regular season champions Etzella Ettelbruck also secured their second win, this time on away court against Résidence Walferdange, although the match was far more competitive than their dominant first-leg victory (101-78). The visitors held a commanding 20-point lead going into the final quarter (81-61) but allowed Walferdange to mount a comeback, reducing the deficit to just four points with two minutes remaining. However, Ettelbruck held firm to close out the game with a 95-89 win, completing a 2-0 series victory. The forward trio of Yann Wolff (24 points), Jimmie Lee Taylor (22 points) and Quatarrius Wilson (23 points) combined for 69 points for the visitors.
Current champions Amicale Steesel also secured their place in the Men’s Enovos League semi-finals, defeating Sparta Bertrange for the second time with an 89-80 victory. Despite trailing 56-59 at halftime, Amicale turned the game around in the second half. Guards Scott Morton and Jarvis Williams were instrumental in the win, scoring 25 and 24 points, respectively.
Joining Arantia Larochette, Etzella Ettelbruck and Amicale Steesel in the semi-finals is T71 Dudelange, who faced the toughest challenge among the quarter-finalists. After securing a comfortable 80-60 home win in the first leg, T71 started strong against AB Contern in the return match, leading 44-29 at halftime. However, the hosts mounted a late comeback, reducing the deficit to just three points with two minutes remaining. In the final moments, AB Contern had an opportunity to equalise, but after an offensive rebound on a missed free throw, they were unable to get another shot off. T71 Dudelange held on to claim a narrow 70-68 victory, completing a 2-0 series win.
