On Monday, 6 October 2025, the sixth edition of the Diversity Awards Lëtzebuerg was celebrated at PwC Luxembourg’s premises on Rue Isaac Newton in Luxembourg-Gasperich.

Organised by Inspiring More Sustainability (IMS) Luxembourg, under the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg, the biennial event recognised organisations in Luxembourg that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.

The evening gathered representatives from the nominated companies, jury members and partners. Guests were provided with translations to ensure accessibility for all participants.

Christian Scharff, President of IMS Luxembourg, and Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg Minister for Equality and Diversity, opened the event by introducing the evening programme. In her speech, Minister Backes underlined that diversity is not a box to tick but “a wealth to be cultivated.  She acknowledged the nominees contributions to a more equitable and representative society through their concrete actions and urged collective resistance against the global backlash on gender equality and inclusion.

This year’s edition featured trophies created by artist Massimo Beni, who presented his work on stage, describing it as a metaphor for unity through diversity. He explained that the geometric designs and varied colours of the four awards reflect the different categories working “under the same roof toward the same goals.”

Throughout the evening, short videos introduced the nominated companies and their initiatives, offering a closer look at how organisations in Luxembourg are integrating diversity practices into their daily operations, including gender equity, support for new mothers, a sense of community and assistance for underrepresented groups.

Awards were presented in four categories recognising outstanding diversity initiatives across Luxembourg’s companies. In the Recruitment, Welcome and Integration category, CFL received the award for its Empow(her)ing Journey campaign promoting gender equality. The Career Management award went to A&O Shearman for introducing enhanced parental leave compensation to support both mothers and fathers. In the Well-Being and Working Conditions category, Spuerkeess was honoured for its implementation of a structured, comprehensive concept of initiatives, policies and activities aimed at improving the physical, mental, and social health of employees. The Communication and Organisational Values award was presented to the Ministry for the Civil Service for its Diversity Week and Diversity Wall campaigns.

The event concluded with a reception, offering guests the opportunity to exchange ideas and continue discussions on diversity and inclusion in an informal setting.
