The Grand Ducal Police has reported that an individual attempted to break into a single-family home on Rue Emile Mayrisch in Esch-sur-Alzette on the afternoon of Monday 12 August 2024.
Around midday on Monday, a man was reportedly trying to break in when he was startled by a resident and promptly fled. Previously, he had already broken into another building and had taken food from an unlocked car.
The police launched a manhunt and quickly located the suspect, who was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office. He appeared before the investigating judge on the morning of Tuesday 13 August 2024.
