The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man died following a dispute in Luxembourg City in the early hours of Wednesday 13 March 2024.
Shortly after 01:00 on Wednesday, an argument broke out between two men on Rue de Hollerich in Luxembourg City. The dispute reportedly ended with one of them falling several metres off a bridge.
A police patrol rescued the seriously injured victim from the Pétrusse shortly after. The officers initiated resuscitation measures until the emergency services arrived. Despite emergency medical first aid, the victim died on-site.
The criminal investigation department of the police has launched an investigation and the suspect was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office. The man is set to be brought before the examining magistrate on Wednesday afternoon.
