A man was seriously injured on a building site in Luxembourg City on Tuesday afternoon after being struck by falling material.
The incident occurred whilst several individuals were performing work on the ground at a site along Rue Lucien Wercollier. Above them, on the rooftop of the building, lay packs of five insulation mats which were wrapped in plastic. One of these bundles flew off the roof, falling onto the head of one of the workers three storeys and around 12 metres below.
The construction worker was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. No further details on his condition have been released.
