The Comité de solidarité avec la Grèce is organising a solidarity march on Thursday 18 June 2015 at 14:30 at the Place de l'Europe in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, to coincide with the Eurogroup meeting in Kirchberg when finance ministers of the Eurozone meet in Luxembourg.
The coming days will be crucial for Greece; the Greek government is looking for an agreement with the European authorities while the European institutions and leaders are claiming that the new Greek government is not respecting its commitments.
The Comité de solidarité avec la Grèce is claiming that the European Institutions are pressuring the government of Greece and forcing the country to perpetuate and aggravate the austerity measures that have strangled the Greek economy and its public debt, which has resulted in a social and humanitarian crisis. On the one hand, the proposals of Greece are supported by many independent economists, Europe and the United States. On the other hand, a stubborn attachment of European policymakers to neoliberal recipes that can destroy Europe as its citizens want it.
