On Wednesday, a new playground was inaugurated at the Place de Strasbourg in Luxembourg-gare, with many residents in attendance.
As part of the city's plan to rejuvenate the city and, in particular, make the station area more family-friendly; this has been acheived by consultation between the VdL's Parks Department and local residents in a working group which first met mid last year to find concrete solutions to the challenges facing the neighbourhood.
The playground includes various games suitable for children aged 2 to 8 years, such as a climbing frame, two swings, a slide and a carousel. Its design and construction conform to the Sécher Spillplaz criteria for child safety. It also includes a drinking fountain and bicycle racks.
