Two artists - one couple, one town, one opening date; this is the concept behind a new exhibition opening at the Centre d'Art in Dudelange next March.
Luxembourg painter and printmaker, Diane Jodes, will be presenting her new exhibition 'As Time Goes By' with an opening at 11:30 on Saturday 5 March 2016 at the Nei Liicht art centre in Dudelange. From then on, the exhibition will be available from Wednesday to Sunday, 15:00-19:00, until 14 April 2016.
Diane Jodes works at the Empreinte printmaking workshop in Luxembourg and is a co-founder of the artists' studio Atelier Gibraltar 77, also in the Grand Duchy. Diane Jodes suscribes to the Neo Rauch mode of thinking that "If I could really explain this, I wouldn't have to paint it" and describes her work as the search for human origin and nature.
Just a hop, skip and a beat away at the Dudelange Dominique Lang art centre will be displayed 'Anthem and Decorum' by Luxembourg and US national Robert Hall. A former teacher at the International School of Luxembourg (ISL), Robert Hall has been exhibiting his drawings, prints, sculptues and paintings since 1981.
His exhibition opening will also take place at 11:30 on 3 March 2016, and he will be joining Elisabeth Flunger for a percussion performance at 13:00. From then on, 'Anthem and Decorum' will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, 15:00-19:00, at the same place.
