The Musée National d'Histoire et d'Art (MNHA) has announced that its 'Empreinte' engraving exhibition has been prolonged and will now be available until 31 August 2015.
The 'Empreinte' project, which has been on display at the museum since late June 2015, showcases the work of members of the 'Empreinte' engraving workshop, including Anneke Walch, a specialist in soft etching and woodcutting; Christiane Koch, a holder of an architectural degree from the Vienne School of Fine Arts; and Danielle Grobusch, an expert in etchings and illustrations. Their works display a variety of techniques, with their individual works available to view and buy at the MNHA shop.
A portfolio and a drawer showcase also allow visitors to contemplate the works of other members of 'Footprint'. The engraving worksho was originally established in 1994 as a space for experimentation and the exchange and dissemination of art among its thirteen creators. The association is now comprised of over forty affiliated artists who employ a range of etching techniques, from drypoint and aquatint to monotype and embossing.
