Luxembourg's Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, will participate in the commemoration ceremony on the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings (D-Day) in Portsmouth, England, taking place tomorrow, 5 June 2019.
PM Bettel is travelling at the invitation of the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, and will participate in the commemoration ceremony which will be held in Portsmouth, a major embarkation point for D-Day allied forces, in the presence of European and international leaders.
Portsmouth, where much of the landing force sailed from in 1944, will be the focal point of the UK commemorations and will host the UK national event on 5 June
