Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade has reported that Minister Xavier Bettel will pay a working visit to New York and Delaware in the United States on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 April 2024.

Following the EU Foreign Affairs Council, held in Luxembourg on Monday 22 April 2024, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel, will join Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, and the Luxembourg delegation, who already visited Detroit and Cleveland on Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 April 2024. The programme included visits to Guardian, BorgWarner, Avery Dennison and Goodyear.

As the ministry explained, the objective of this working visit is to deepen relations with the main American industrial investors in Luxembourg, considering that the United States represents Luxembourg's most important trading partner outside Europe.

In New York, Prince Guillaume and Minister Bettel will participate in a conference organised by the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) on the development of the space economy, as well as in the handover ceremony of the Luxembourg-American Business Award. Interviews with the directors of Redwire and the American Industrial Acquisition Corporation (AIAC), owner of the Eurofoil Luxembourg company, are also on the agenda.

The Luxembourg delegation, chaired by Prince Guillaume and led by Minister Bettel, will then travel to Wilmington to meet the managers of DuPont, an industrial company active in the Grand Duchy since 1962.
