On Wednesday 29 January 2020, the University of Luxembourg will host a conference on "The Internet and the European Market from a historical perspective".

Organised by the Robert Schuman Initiative for European Affairs, this conference examines the relationship between the internet, EU regulation and market integration from a historical perspective. The speakers will analyse how the development of the internet has facilitated market integration while also creating major regulatory challenges at the EU level. Viviane Reding will speak about her role as European Commissioner for Information Society and Media (2004-2010).

The event begins at 16:00 and will take place in the Maison des Sciences humaines on Belval campus.
