The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO), the City of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Army and "D'Frënn vun der Militärmusek" asbl will hold their annual charity concert on Wednesday 29 January 2020 at 20:00 at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg (33 Rue Charles Martel, Luxembourg).

On this occasion, the Luxembourg Military Band and several young musicians from the country's conservatories will perform the world premiere of "Double Concerto for Soprano Saxophone and Euphonium", composed by Warrant Officer Georges Sadeler, alongside works by Michael Markowski, Christiaan Janssen, Anton Alcalde Rodriguez and Oscar Navarro. The concert is directed by Lieutenant-Colonel Jean-Claude Braun, Head of the Luxembourg Military Band.

The purpose of this charity concert, which is placed under the High Patronage of His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke, is to raise funds for Special Olympics Luxembourg, a sports federation offering all people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to practice an adapted physical activity, to follow regular training programmes and to take part in competitions corresponding to their skills. Special Olympics Luxembourg is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary.

Tickets for this charity concert cost €15 (plus pre-sale fee) per person. All proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics Luxembourg. Tickets can be purchased via tel.: 47-0895-1, from luxembourg-ticket.lu or from the usual Luxembourg Ticket sales points.
