Details:

Transition Minett is organising a "Repair Café" at FACILITEC (7 Rue Berwart) in Esch-sur-Alzette this Saturday 14 December 2019 from 14:00 to 18:00.

Volunteer repairers will be on hand to help the public repair anything that no longer works, from toasters and bicycles to a dress, a chair or toys. The initiative helps give these objects a new life, thus saving the owners money and preserving the environment. The cafe part of the initiative allows visitors to have a snack and chat with other locals.

This event is organised in the context of the Climate Pact by Transition Minett with the support of the Centre for Ecological Learning Luxembourg (CELL), as well as Repair Café Lëtzebuerg, the City of Esch-sur-Alzette, the Syndicat de communes régional pour la promotion et le développement de la région du sud (PRO-SUD) and the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development.

The Repair Café is seeking anyone with knowledge in electronics, woodworking, mechanics or sewing, among other things, to help out. To volunteer, contact the organisers via email: repaircafe@cell.lu or tel.: 691-300629 (Marcel). Further information is available at www.repaircafe.lu.
