Details:

The Altrimenti cultural centre in Luxembourg City has announced that its next concert will take place on Friday 16 May 2025 at 20:00 at 5 Avenue Marie-Thérèse.

The Altrimenti cultural centre is  “dedicated to cultural creation and exchange, recreating the intimate, vibrant atmosphere of a true jazz club”. In 2025, the centre created an in-house orchestra: the Altrimenti Jazz Band. Made up primarily of musicians from Luxembourg and the Greater Region, this collective explores a repertoire of jazz, soul, as well as rhythm and blues. The centre is reported to blend classics (Duke Ellington, Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, John Coltrane) with fresh reinterpretations where improvisation takes centre stage.

The upcoming concert will feature special guest, Luxembourgish trumpeter Daniel Migliosi, alongside two vocalists, Salima, who recently performed with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and Eurovision Luxembourg 2025 finalist, Carmen. Led by pianist and arranger Geoffrey Sabba, the band unites musicians from across the Greater Region in a unique blend of creativity and groove.

Daniel Migliosi, born in 2004, started his musical education at the age of nine and attended the Conservatory of Esch-sur-Alzette. He has won several first prizes at "Concours Jeunes Solistes" and played concerts throughout Europe, as a soloist, with orchestras or brass ensembles.
