The City of Luxembourg (VdL) has announced that the 12th edition of Special Needs Awareness Weeks will take place between Tuesday 29 April and Thursday 20 November 2025.
The 9th edition of the “Inclusion Gala: Art and Culture Without Barriers”, will take place on Friday 16 May at the Halle Victor Hugo in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg from 19:00 until 21:00. The gala will feature a performance of dance, music, theatre and poetry. The gala will be followed by a reception hosted by the VdL and a walking dinner organised in collaboration with several associations working with special needs from 21:00 until 23:00. The gala is free of charge and reservations can be made via email: integratioun@vdl.lu or tel 479-64150. Live streaming will be available.
The seven-month Special Needs Awareness programme will include information stands, demonstrations, workshops, song and dance performances, meetings, conferences, meals in the dark, guided tours and more. Through this initiative, the City, together with more than 90 partners, aim to raise public awareness and encourage dialogue with those with special needs, in order to better understand the daily lives and needs of those affected, thus promoting better living together based on mutual understanding.
