On Tuesday 9 June 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that two men were arrested following the attempted theft of bottles of alcohol from a shop in Tetange.
According to the initial information, on the afternoon of Saturday 6 June, police were notified of two men in a shop on Rue Principale in Tétange who had attempted to steal several bottles of alcohol but were caught by a security officer.
A police patrol located the men at the scene a short time later. Investigations revealed that both individuals may be linked to another shoplifting incident.
On the order of the public prosecutor's office, the suspected shoplifters were arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Tuesday 9 June.
