On Monday 24 February 2025, Luxembourgish band, Authentica, announced the release of its debut album Out in the Light, as well as dates for its forthcoming live concerts in the Grand Duchy.
In a press release Authentica is described as "a fusion of traditional Luxembourgish music, Celtic energy and Latin-Mediterranean rhythms, bringing ancient melodies and legends back to life". Lead vocalist, Martina Menichetti, an Italian-Luxembourgish singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is reported to reinvent musical traditions with a contemporary approach.
Authentica was the first Luxembourgish artist to perform at Celtic Connections 2024, with the support of Kultur|LX. Martina Menichetti has also performed at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, TEDx and Zeltik Celebration.
Two singles from the album, “Call of the Night” and “Sources of Joy”, are currently available on streaming platforms.
Authentica will perform in Luxembourg on the following dates:
- Tuesday 25 February 2025 at Unison Studios, Differdange at 20:00. The debut album, Out in the Light, will be released on the night. Tickets cost €15 and are available at:
