Details: The British Conservative Association of Luxembourg is organising an evening lecture and discussion on Thursday 28 June at 20:00 at the Alvisse Parc Hotel. The guest speaker, Sir Roger Gale MP, will give a short overview of the current political situation, leaving plenty of time for questions and discussion. Sir Roger is an experienced MP with 28 years experience of serving in the House of Commons. Besides his constituency activities his parliamentary responsibilities include: Delegation visits to more than ten countries; An election observer of some seven countries; Membership of a wide range of 'bill committees'. He has chaired more than 100 pieces of legislation through the committee stages; More recently he chaired the 'Health and Social Care bill'. He is a full member of the Council of Europe as a member of the Parliament Assembly. Outside of Parliament he and his wife are very active in a wide range of social and voluntary activities. Bar and restaurant facilities will be available.
