On Tuesday 16 June 2026, the LCGB, the majority union, and OGBL signed a renewed collective labour agreement with the Board of Directors of St George's International School, covering the school's 230 employees.
According to the unions, the agreement represents an important step in improving working conditions and strengthening social benefits for all staff members.
Concluded until 31 December 2028, the new collective labour agreement introduces several measures aimed at supporting career development and enhancing employee social protection.
The agreement provides in particular for:
- the introduction of a career pathway for teachers who do not hold a formal teaching qualification, recognising skills and experience acquired in the workplace;
- greater flexibility in taking leave for administrative staff;
- the introduction of death and disability insurance, providing additional security for employees and their families;
- the establishment of a supplementary pension scheme;
- an increase in the value of meal vouchers to €12.20, helping to improve employees' purchasing power.
