After two and a half years of discussions, employers from the construction sector and the LCGB trade union have come to a collective labour agreement.
On 22 October 2018, the LCGB consulted its federal construction committee following the latest employer proposal in negotiations for a new collective labour agreement for the building sector.
The LCGB announced its satisfaction that any additional flexibilisation of working time could be avoided thanks to its intransigence, but has denounced the slow pace of negotiations which took just over 2.5 years of what it considers to be lost time and money for employees in the sector.
Nevertheless, LCGB members accepted the offer which included various improvements for employees, namely a 2.4% increase in tariff wages, a single premium of €300, an increase in the end-of-year bonus from 5% to 7%, the right to training for all employees and recognition of the training provided (adaptation of wages to qualifications) and the granting of 27 days of leave and an end-of-year bonus for administrative employees.
