On Tuesday 12 April 2016, over 170 agents from various services within the Agence pour le développement de l'emploi (ADEM) visited 12 Luxembourg companies as part of the inaugural edition of 'Journées en entreprises' (Company Day).
The Journées en entreprises initiative enabled the agents to directly meet employers at their workplace, going behind the scenes and learning from business leaders and human resource managers how they operate, their staffing needs and the kinds of profiles required, among others.
Cactus, Husky, Trendiction, Euro-composites, Auchan, PwC, Traiteur Steffen, La Provençale, Parc Hôtel Alvisse, Sofitel (Novotel) and the International School of Luxembourg were the companies that opened their doors to the ADEM employees. The Centre d'orientation socio-professionnelle (COSP) also participated in the event.
The day was integrated with the Employers' Day initiative of the European network of public employment services, which aims to strengthen links between employers and employees working in different public recruitment services.
