Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, together with the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works and the Ministry of Health, have announced that Luxembourg is temporarily banning passenger flights from the UK from midnight tonight for at least 24 hours, as a precaution and pending new scientific knowledge.

This suspension is due to a new strain of Coronavirus has been detected in Great Britain which is understood to be more contagious than the current strain in circulation.

An instruction in this context was given by the Ministry of Health; the Ministry of Mobility immediately asked the Directorate of Civil Aviation to order Lux-Airport to take the necessary measures to apply this landing ban for passenger flights from the United Kingdom.
