On Saturday 12 February 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs announced that it has updated its travel advice for Ukraine, in close coordination with its European partners.

The updated travel advice is as follows: "All trips to the entire Ukrainian territory are strongly discouraged".

Luxembourg nationals and residents who are currently in Ukraine and whose presence is not absolutely necessary are advised to leave the country. It is also recommended to register with the LamA (Lëtzebuerger am Ausland) service for Luxembourgers abroad and the Embassy of Belgium in Kyiv, Ukraine. Further information on how to use the LamA service is available on Guichet.lu at: https://guichet.public.lu/en/citoyens/loisirs-benevolat/tourisme/droits-voyageurs/declaration-sejour-etranger.html.

For further details about the situation on the ground, Luxembourg's Foreign Ministry has recommend that those concerned consult the travel advice published by the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at: https://diplomatie.belgium.be/fr/Services/voyager_a_letranger/conseils_par_destination/ukraine.
