Frankfurt-Hahn airport has announced that it plans to increase the number of passengers that us the airport in 2016 following the success of 2015 when it recorded a total of almost 2.7 million passengers using the airport over the 12 months.
It has identified enhanced cooperation with tour operators such as SunExpress (which will fly to Izmir in Turkey from 19 July 2016) and Ryanair to operate 25 additional flights to/from the airport this summer, from May to October. For the Airport this is just the beginning of a long-term expansion process.
“We are very conveniently located both in the Rheinland-Pfalz and the Rhein-Main-Gebiet areas and therefore make an interesting partner for tourism operators,” said John Kohlsaat, Senior Vice President Sales at Frankfurt-Hahn. He also highlighted that more than 167,000 passengers flew in January from Frankfurt-Hahn, 11% more than the previous month and 9% more than the same month the previous year.
Holiday packages from Frankfurt-Hahn can be booked at any travel agency that offers Alltours packages.
