The Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs has today informed the public that it is possible to travel in Greece in complete security, whilst taking certain information into consideration.
The Ministry has advised that demonstrations and strike actions may sometimes cause disturbances, and travellers may wish to exercise caution in large gatherings of peple.
It has also explained that despite the current financial situation, controls of capital such as daily withdrawal limits do not apply to credit cards issues outside of Greece.
However, the Ministry has warned that due to current risks of momentary interruption to ATM services and the potential closure of banks, it is recommended to tourists visiting the country to bring sufficient cash with them.
