On Thursday 10 September 2026, Luxair announced the launch of a new year-round direct service between Luxembourg and Tirana, starting on Monday 29 March 2027.
Luxair will operate the route twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, establishing the first direct flight connection between Luxembourg and the Albanian capital.
According to the airline, Tirana was identified as one of the largest markets with potential from Luxembourg as part of its 2026 market study. Luxair noted that the new route will serve both growing leisure demand for Albania and the large Albanian community in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
“The launch of Tirana marks another important step in strengthening Luxair’s network. For the first time, we are offering a direct link to the Albanian capital, responding both to growing interest in Albania as a leisure destination and to strong demand from the Albanian community in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. With this year-round service, we are giving our customers greater choice and making travel between Luxembourg and Albania easier and more convenient. It is also another example of how we continue to develop our network in line with evolving customer demand,” said Thomas Fischer, Chief Commercial Officer of Luxair.
Flights are available to book from Thursday 10 September 2026 via Luxair’s usual sales channels. Fares start at €129 in Light Fare, including one cabin bag, and at €169 in Smart Fare, which includes one cabin bag, one checked bag per person and the possibility to change the booking.
