Cargolux has announced the appointment of Jason Christopher Holt as the airline’s new Executive Vice President of Flight Operations; he replaces Marcel Funk who earlier this year retired from this position.
Mr. Holt is 52 years old and a British national with wide industry experience gained during his career at a number of airlines. In addition to being experienced in managing Flight Operations, Jason also takes a keen interest in the commercial and business side of the airline. He joins Cargolux from Easyjet Airlines where he held the position as Head of Gatwick Operations and Operational Strategy for the airline. Prior to joining Easyjet, Mr. Holt occupied various management positions at Virgin Atlantic Airways, British Mediterranean Airways and Arik Air amongst others. Mr. Holt holds a UK Airline Transport pilot’s license.
He was schooled at the London Business School, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Law School.
Mr. Holt will start in his new position at Cargolux in the final quarter of 2015 and will also be a member of the Cargolux Executive Committee.
At the same time, Claude Zehren, who presently fills the role of Chief Pilot, has been appointed Deputy Head of Flight Operations. Mr. Zehren will work in close cooperation with Mr. Holt to further strengthen Cargolux’s flight operations.
