The eighteenth edition of the Luxembourg Open Days (Portes Ouvertes Luxembourg) event, organised by communications agency brain&more, attracted almost 19,000 visitors over the weekend.
As reported by the organisers, 34 participating companies across 31 sites opened their doors to nearly 19,000 visitors on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2024.
Among the most visited establishments this year were Maison Josy Juckem in Dippach, RAK Porcelain Europe in Bettembourg and CERATIZIT in Mamer.
This annual event, organised under the patronage of Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy, offers an opportunity for the public (including families) to take a look behind the scenes of companies, organisations, workshops, municipal structures and factories. It also showcases a variety of professions.
For eighteen years, a total of 358,900 visitors have taken advantage of this opportunity to familiarise themselves with the diversity of local companies.
The organisers noted that Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, and the Minister for Home Affairs, Léon Gloden, supported the initiative by visiting the companies D'Schlässerei in Berbourg and BIOROCK in Ellange on Saturday.
The organisers added that Portes Ouvertes Luxembourg is not only an educational event for visitors; it also represents recognition for companies and their employees, who can present the quality of their products and services to the public. Moreover, it may be an opportunity to get in touch with potential future employees in a less formal atmosphere.
The next edition of Portes Ouvertes Luxembourg will take place on the weekend of 20 to 21 September 2025. Interested companies can already contact brain&more for more information on registration procedures.
