Luxembourg-based international professional women's association The NETWORK has announced that it is kicking off the new year with an event dedicated to "Combating Burnout" at QoSQo restaurant in Luxembourg-Ville on Wednesday 17 January 2024 at 19:00.
In a world of rapid change, women frequently encounter specific challenges. The NETWORK recalled that burnout does not just "appear out of the blue"; it is often "the result of long-term mental overload and chronic stress".
The NETWORK added that it is estimated that one out of every two leaves of absence from work is linked to chronic stress.
According to INAMI figures, more than two-thirds of cases of disability due to burnout or depression involve women, accounting for 68% of all cases. Women have also seen an increase of almost 50% in burnout and depression-related disabilities in the past five years.
This workshop event aims to help attendees learn how to manage their stress levels within the workplace and as independents, solopreneurs, entrepreneurs and/or parents, as well as how to strengthen their resilience, inform themselves about burnout, understand what happens and how to avoid it.
The speakers will offer: greater clarity on the mechanisms of burnout and the internal and external risk factors; a better understanding of the role of nutrition in the process; a test to find out about "at-risk" personalities; a relaxation experience to avoid burnout.
The speakers at this event are: Silvija Zagar, body-centred therapist and mindfulness coach; Laura Abbracciavento, sophrologist and coach; Catherine Henrotte, professional coach and trainer; Christel Heintz, nutritionist.
Tickets are free for members of The NETWORK and cost €20 for non-members. Further information (including registration) is available via Eventbrite.
