The NETWORK has announced that it is organising an event entitled "Women on Boards" on Wednesday 19 October 2022 from 19:00 - 22:00 at Arendt & Medernach (41 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-2082 Luxembourg-Kirchberg).

In Luxembourg, just 22% of board members are women.

Women and girls are key agents of development and change. Achieving gender equality and empowering women and girls is vital to building fair, inclusive, prosperous, and peaceful societies everywhere.

Studies have shown that companies with women on boards of directors have greater corporate social responsibility, higher board attendance and awareness. Yet, the valuable potential of women is still being underused on many boards of directors. How can we increase the proportion of competent and dedicated women on the boards of directors of companies to bolster its effectiveness?

Rita Knott, Managing Director of the International Female Board Pool Initiative in Luxembourg will share her observations and learnings accompanying many female board candidates over the last eleven years.

This interactive workshop will guide attendees towards the first or next steps in their search for a suitable board mandate, be it on a commercial, public or non-profit board.
