The Luxembourgish Institute of Regulation has made a first draft statement on telecommunication service tariffs proposed by service providers to customers.
The institute took the profile of a “typical” customer in Luxembourg and used the examples of a monthly national use of 300 minutes of calls and 1GB of mobile data, and a monthly international use of 160 minutes of calls and 250MB of data.
The average monthly tariff, offered by the three cheapest providers, for limited national use without mobile data was €8.97. For an average national use with limited mobile data, the average was €19.93, whilst a higher national use with mobile data, as well as intensive use with data, cost on average €19.95 per month.
The rate of very high-speed internet access was 39.1% at the end of 2015, which shows an increase of 8.3% compared to the end of 2014.
