On Saturday 13 august 2022, at day 3 of the European Swimming Championships in Rome, Luxembourg was represented by Monique Olivier in the Women's 200m Freestyle.

Unfortunately, rain fell throughout the day, making it difficult for the swimmers in the outdoor pool. The temperatures fell, adversely affecting the performances of the swimmers in the Women's 200m Freestyle and Men's 100m Butterfly heats, with times noticeably down from what had been expected.

Monique Olivier swam in the last heat of the 200m Freestyle, in the pouring rain; nevertheless, she covered the distance in 2'03"36. This ensured that Monique finished in 27th position in the discipline.
