The Ville de Luxembourg (VDL) has announced that its annual summer “S.d.S Sport Weeks” will take place between 16 July and 3 September 2017.

The 2017 edition of the VDL’s Sport Weeks, which has been running for over 30 years and is always organised during the school holidays, offers young people in Luxembourg City to try new sports or perfect a particular one outside of school.

This year the programme, which aims to promote sport in the capital to young people aged 11 to 17, is made up of four “Mini Sport Weeks” for 11 to 12 year olds and 14 “Sport Weeks” for 13 to 17 year olds.

The Mini Sport Weeks are adapted to 11 to 12 year olds and include Mini Multi-Sports, Mini Sailing Multi-Sports, Mini Sailing in the Netherlands, and Mini Maxi-Sports which give insight into the sports offered to the older children.

As for the sports on offer to the 13 to 17 year olds, the S.d.S Sport Weeks include climbing, mountain biking, horse riding, martial arts, sailing, and dance among others. As well as the activities organised in Luxembourg itself, the Sports Service is also offering various Multi-Sports in Italy, the Netherland and Austria.

Registration is open to all young people aged 11 to 17, whether they reside in Luxembourg City or not.

The programme and registration form are available at the Bierger-Center, the Town Hall, the Rocade, the Sports Service, and online at www.vdl.lu
